Pokémon 25th Anniversary Celebration!

Hello everyone! I hope this post finds you well! It’s been a while since I’ve dabbled in the blogosphere myself, spending much of my time focusing on personal writing endeavors, playing video games, catching up on reading, and just living that married life of chores and responsibility. However, there has been a shifting in the winds! A gust has swept over the rock I’ve been hiding under and roused me from my blog hibernation…

Pokémon’s 25th Anniversary!

Holy moly, it’s crazy to think about! Pokémon made its first impact on the world when Red and Green Versions released in Japan on February 27th, 1996.

My own Pokémon journey started when I was in early grade school, from loving the cartoon in second grade and getting the games and a Game Boy Color for my 9th birthday that next year! Pokémon took over my life for several years, ranging from even more videos games to the Trading Card Game, ongoing cartoon, cereal, Pop Tarts, toys and figurines, and so much more! My obsession with Red and Blue ultimately built my gaming habit into what it is today (for better or worse :P).

In celebration of this grand milestone that has defined so much of my life, I’m returning to my blog the entire month of February for weekly posts that celebrate all years and generations of the Pokémon franchise. I’m excited to share my own memories and opinions, but also to hear about yours! Pokémon has always been about connecting with others, and I can’t wait to continue my journey alongside you all!

Keep your eyes peeled, and I’ll see you soon! Smell ya later!
